As a community, we are all responsible for helping mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Below are some of the steps that the University and Residential Life and Housing are taking for resident safety.
VCU has created a phone number for students to report their exposure and COVID-19 symptoms. Please visit the Student Health website for more information.
In accordance with VCU's Together Update on March 18, 2022, students are no longer required to wear a face-covering while navigating residence halls outside of their room, suite or apartment. VCU’s Public Health Response Team continues to strongly encourage masking for individuals at risk for severe COVID-19 infection. Residents who wish to wear masks are also encouraged to do so. Residents exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, confirmed positive for COVID-19, or who have been exposed to COVID-19 should follow the masking guidance provided by Student Health.
Easy Access to Sanitizer
Hand sanitizer will be available at stations throughout the residence halls and campus.
Cleaning and Disinfecting
Housekeeping staff will be cleaning common areas, shared bathrooms, and other high traffic areas more frequently.
Isolation and Quarantine Housing
To learn more about isolation and quarantine in the residence halls, please visit our Isolation and Quarantine page.
The above COVID-19 precautions are currently in place for the VCU community. They are subject to change to meet the needs of the residential population. For the most up-to-date processes or to learn more about VCU response to COVID-19, please visit together.vcu.edu and housing.vcu.edu/together.
